The ELC is a not-for-profit charitable organisation, dedicated to improving the lives of children and young people. How we can help you as a Teaching School:
During your application:
We have reviewed the application guidance and questions to become a Teaching School, and prepared some possible ELC contributions. These may help answer questions within sections 1, 5, 7 and 8. They focus on aspects of partnership and benefits of collaboration from working with strategic partners, such as the ELC. To download ELC contributions to the application, please click here.
Help and support as a strategic partner:
As a potential strategic partner, our role is about aligning with the vision and needs of the alliance, depending on their We offer a menu of support and are open to discussing which elements might augment your alliance in the most effective way and align to your local needs and context. These are underlined by nil-cost or competitive options to secure economies of scale.
For example:
- For all schools naming ELC as a partner in your strategic alliance, free access to ‘elco’ a community based website and forum offering a platform for on-line collaboration and partnership within your alliance.
- Support with brokering the vision, strategic objectives and planning of the alliance, including producing documentation in line with your objectives. Free consultation and one day delivery.
- Support with the setting up, administration and coordination of the alliance (costed).
- Support with designing bespoke CPD programmes aligned with the vision and strategic objectives of your alliance, drawing on ELC’s extensive training programme portfolio (costed).
- Support with co-delivery of training in conjunction with your alliance’s staff, aligned with inset days to secure economies of scale (costed).
- Provision of ‘train the trainer’ programmes and quality and impact evaluation tools, techniques and systems, to ensure consistent monitoring against outcomes underpinned by continuous improvement (costed).
- Other support as appropriate depending on your needs, for example marketing.
